Andy Warhol/ Marilyn Monroe Nike Air Max 90’s
Andy Warhol/ Marilyn Monroe Nike Air Max 90’s: "
An ode to the famous painting by the great Andy Warhol of Marilyn Monroe are the new iteration of the Nike Air Max 90’s. A special edition, made with a womenly bias, the Monroe Air Max 90’s are certainly a colorful shoe boasting the Warhol painting in vibrant colors around the entire midsole aganist the white body of the sneaker. The black laces and mesh portions of the sneaker provide a good, stark contrast to make the painting pop. Certainly a unique new spin on a timeless classic. Source

PlayStation 4
Only a concept design right now, I’m betting that Sony takes a tip or two from Tai Chiem’s transparent reinvention of the PlayStation.

“No More Words…”
I’ve mentioned my fondness over this album before, particularly the musicality that Pete Rock brought to the project. So you can imagine my delight when this little goodie popped up in the inbox.
For the uninformed, INI was a Pete Rock-produced group consisting of emcees Rass, Rob-O, Grap Luva (Rock’s younger brother) and Marco Polo. If those names sound unfamiliar, its because they probably should. But guess what? Since it’s the instrumentals you don’t have to worry about that nagging problem of listening to the song and thinking “damn this beat is fire, but who the hell is this guy?” and thinking of other lyricists that would sufficiently tear the beat to shreds.
And as far as instrumentals go, this is a damn fine collection of beats, arguably some of the Soul Brother’s best work. Peep the wah-wah dreamy bounce of “Fakin’ Jax” or the trademark horn loop, chopped like only Pete Rock can on “To Each His Own.” Or the perfectly-tipsy at the party-spot vibe of “Props.” Or the pleasant-daydream strings and record scratches of “Step Up.” Or the- oh just download the damn thing already, I’ve already given you more words than the title of the post promised.

Trailer: Denzel Washington In The Book Of Eli
Trailer: Denzel Washington In The Book Of Eli: "
Denzel is going to protect & save mankind…even if he has to snuff a few people in the process. Not so sure how I feel about the “post-apocalyptic” Denzel. I’ve always been more of fan of the envious, “man, that boy cooler than the other side of the pillow. I wish I could be like him”-types of characters that he plays. Even when he was Lonzo, you still had to envy him because he was baggin’ Eva Mendes.
Hey, we’ll see though. The Book of Eli hits theaters on MLK Birthday weekend, 1.15.10.
